Instant Pot Demo - ROSE Program
Renfrew South District WI is hosting a ROSE program evening to learn about the Instant Pot.
This program is open to members and guests.
The demonstration will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Horton Community Centre located at1005 Castleford Road.
Admission is FREE, however, donations are greatly appreciated (to offset the cost of the food and other expenses).
Six recipes will be demonstrated using 6 different Instant Pots of varying sizes. Attendees will be able try samples.
This is your opportunity to see if the Instant Pot is for you - the various sizes available, what can be cooked in it, and taste some of the food. We will not be selling the Instant Pot or accessories.
What is an Instant Pot?
One of the hottest new kitchen appliances today – very easy to use and safe!
An electric pressure cooker, but can also be a slow cooker, rice maker, yogourt maker; amongst other things.
For busy households, cooking time is fast, clean-up is easy, and less dishes to do.
Healthy way of cooking and needs less energy than an oven or stovetop.
You can cook:
Meals in one pot very quickly, including sautéing beforehand.
Soups, stews, rice, grains, beans, lentils, meats, and vegetables
Quickly prepare dry beans instead of soaking them overnight
Hard-boil 1 dozen or more eggs at the same time.
